Las Vegas, NV – August 5, 2014 — (Tech Sonian) –Oi SA (ADR) (NYSE:OIBR)and Telemar Participacoes S.A., (“TmarPart”) in compliance with art. 157, §4 of Law No. 6,404/76 (the “Brazilian Corporation Law”) and the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (Comissao de Valores Mobiliarios – CVM) Instruction No. 358/02, in addition to the Material Fact dated July 15, 2014, notifies their shareholders and the market in general of the following regarding the terms of the agreements that may be entered into between Oi, TmarPart and Portugal Telecom SGPS S.A. (“PT SGPS”) in relation to the financial investments in commercial paper of Rio Forte Investments, S.A. (the “Commercial Paper”).
Oi SA (ADR) (NYSE:OIBR) gained volume of 5.98 million shares and the average volume of the stock remained 22.45 million shares. The 52 week range of the stock remained $0.61 – $2.34.The stock opened the session at $0.62, and closed the session at $0.632. The stock showed a positive performance of 1.61% in previous trading session.

Oi SA (ADR)(NYSE:OIBR) gained one cent during yesterday’s trading, a 1.61% increase in value that moved the stock to a closing price value of $0.6320. Despite the increase in value, the stock remains just $0.0220 above its 52 week low of $0.61. These new lows are quite disappointing for the Brazil-based integrated telecommunication services company, which once closed for as much as $12.25 on May 30th, 2008. On July 17th, Moody’s announced it had placed Oi S.A. under review for a downgrade.

Dallas, Texas 08/04/2014 (FINANCIALSTRENDS) – Oi SA (ADR) (NYSE:OIBR) Brazilian holding company which provides a variety of telephony services. The company besides providing a range of domestic services, it also provides several international services. Most of the operations of this US-listed provider are conducted via its holding company, OiSA, the erstwhile Brasil Telecom, SA. It is currently engaged in provisioning Switched Fixed-line Telephony Services or STFC. The operations are related to three main segments. The Fixed line telephony as well as data segment is one of the main stays of this international player. This main segment will now allow local as well as long distance voice transmission, besides, data communication services.
Oi SA (ADR) (NYSE:OIBR) second segment of services the company provides is the mobile telephony segment. The core services of this segment are mobile voice services. The third latest segment is the 3G data communication as well as the additional services related to it. The service which this company offers includes messaging services as well as interaction. The company also supports additional services such as internet services besides call center segment.
The telemarketing services the company provides as well as customer services and television. The TV service Oi SA offers includes cable as well as Direct To Home (DTH) technology.
Oi SA (ADR) (NYSE:OIBR) has since December 2013, transferred the stake it holds in Brasil Telecom Cabos submarine Ltd as well as other subsidiaries.
As of July 28, 2014, Oi SA will work with Market Maker a range of commercial activities.
