1. MORNING OUTLOOK

U.S. stocks posted losses Monday after a rally sparked by the
weekend capture of Saddam Hussein fizzled and concerns about
retail sales took a toll. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell
into negative territory in the final hour of trading, closing down
19.34 points, or 0.2 percent, to 10,022.82, after rising to an
early high of 10,139 on news of Saddam's capture.
Semiconductors, airlines, networkers, oil services, integrated
oil, and retailers were the biggest sector losers. Gold was a
bright spot. In the commodities market, February gold futures
closed at $409.90 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange,
down 20 cents but well off the session's low of $405.20

Dow lost 19 points to close at 10022. Dow is trading above 50 and
200-Day MA with positive momentum. Dow's reversal today suggests
weakness above 10000 level. Breakdown below 10000 level could be
negative in the short-term. Watch 10075 level for potential
breakout. DOW's resistance levels are: 10147, 10277, 10438. DOW's
support levels are: 9897, 9771, 9660. Nasdaq lost 30.75 points to
close at 1918. Nasdaq is trading below 50 and above 200-day MA
with negative momentum. Nasdaq is trading near the lower-end of
its trading channel. NASDAQ's resistance levels are: 1931, 1951,
1979. NASDAQ's support levels are: 1903, 1874, 1852. Tuesday's
trading could be cautiuos and choppy.
