1. MORNING OUTLOOK
Pre-market futures are lower and suggesting that markets may open
flat to lower. A weaker-than-expected performance from the eurozone's
second biggest economy, France, and disappointing results from the
largest seller of personal computers in Europe weighed on European
stock markets on Wednesday. Japanese stocks built up solid gains for
a third straight session Wednesday as Wall Street's continued strength
and growing hopes for the domestic economy heartened investors.
U.S. markets posted modest gains as a rally in the technology sector
Tuesday propelled the Nasdaq to its best close in 16 months while
the Dow finished at a fresh 14-month high, brushing off a sharp
loss in Home Depot following the retailer's earnings release. The
Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 16.45 points, or 0.17
percent, to 9,428.90. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 21.62 points,
or 1.24 percent, to 1,761.11 while the Nasdaq 100 Index climbed

500 Index climbed 0.26 percent while the Russell 2000 Index of
small-capitalization stocks climbed 1.62 percent. Volume amounted
to 1.29 billion on the NYSE and 1.73 billion on the Nasdaq Stock
Market. Market breadth was positive, with Advancers were leading
Decliners by 2122 to 1136 on the NYSE. Nasdaq's Advancers were
leading Decliners by 2066 to 1138.
Dow gained 16.45 points to close at 9429. Dow is trading with
positive momentum above 50 and 200-Day MA. Dow held its key
support level (9400) well today and promising much higher levels
in the next few weeks. Watch 9475 level for potential breakout and
9350 level for potential downside. DOW's resistance levels are:
